After an aggressive asbestos-related disease took the life of their loved one, the family of Richard W. Fanslau, from Elyria, Ohio, is suing numerous corporations for his death.
According to The Morning Journal, among the corporations named in the suit are Goodrich Corp. and Norfolk Southern Railway, on the complaint that Fanslau was allegedly exposed to asbestos while working at Goodrich as well as for Nickel Plate Railroad.
Numerous documented research studies have shown that asbestos exposure causes lung cancer and mesothelioma. In fact, over 10,000 people are diagnosed with an asbestos-related disease in the world every year. Asbestos exposure typically comes from inhaling the fibers found in old pipes, buildings and similar settings.
The family is seeking at least $25,000 in damages for the loss of their loved one.
